#Volunteer4SA
36 Month Sponsorships : 5 Year Span
For People & the Planet
Each sponsorship package runs for 36 months at R100 per month. A sponsor may sign up to as many sponsorship packages as they can afford. Ten (10) sponsorship packages are assigned to each beneficiary. Therefore, each beneficiary is allocated support for a maximum of R36,000 over 36 months — paid out monthly.
We hope to be able to help up to 5 million households from the funds raised in this way. All the funds raised by #Volunteer4SA from sponsors are allocated and distributed by the initiatives listed below — with the SOLhelp and Market Garden Development initiatives getting the lions share of sponsor funds.
The funds raised from institutional donors and 1% for SA business sponsors are mostly directed to the RegenCAN FD+ Compact while some are allocated to the micro BLITZ Time Exchange. NOTE: Funds allocated to the RegenCAN FD+ Compact are helping NPOs and projects get things done by sponsoring labour and thereby helping indigent people with employment.
RegenCAN Initiatives
RegenCAN FD+ Compact
The RegenCAN FD+ Compact is a Rescue Earth initiative whose primary objective is to provide community resilience orientated work for impoverished individuals in exchange for food, utilities, and goods & services that have been donated by donors. The FOOD plus token (FD+) is used exclusively by the RegenCAN FD+ Compact.
RegenCAN Initiatives
Market Garden Development
The primary goal of the Market Garden Development Initiative is to address both food security and job creation by initiating the establishment of a comprehensive ecosystem of sustainable small and micro scale farmers. The RO*Food Market Garden System (MGS) is the desired outcome.
RegenCAN Initiatives
micro BLITZ Time Exchange
The micro BLITZ Time Exchange is a community based time banking initiative. Members exchange time and skills (work) with each other and earn ‘time credits’ in return. Due to the distributed nature of the network, these time credits — mBZ tokens — can in turn be exchanged for other member services.
SOLhelp Initiatives
Solar Equity Compact
The SOLhelp Initiative offers 4 million impoverished households a way to own a share of the energy transition. The SOLhelp Initiative aims to work with the RegenCAN FD+ Compact to train members to help install Biomass Energy Systems, Solar Systems, etc. Many of the FD+ Compact workers with on the job experience will be able to become installation artisans and work for renewable energy businesses.
Core Objective
Promote a Culture
of Volunteerism
Their needs to be a paradigm shift in our attitudes towards community and the commons — they are the weft and the warp — the foundation on which we can thrive.
It is time to change the narrative on volunteering — to celebrate existing activity whilst finding new ways to engage with anyone who wants to participate. Opportunities abound for the founding of new innovative volunteer projects that address urgent problems.
Primary Focus
Food, Water, Energy
Health, Education, Safety & Housing
Although, our primary focus is on the above list of categories, volunteers can volunteer for anything that helps their community.
e.g. Food: According to research by the DA, millions of people are suffering the pain and indignity of hunger. 81% of households are skipping at least one daily meal. 41% say they can’t feed their families anymore. Heartbreaking. We can change this!!!
